The Baridi DH49 is a capable beer dispenser compatible any 5L keg. A stylish addition to any kitchen the DH49’s stainless steel and black looks the part. At a reasonable price point too we’re big fans of this device.
The Baradi DH-49 is capable of keeping kegs fresh for up to 30 days. Furthermore it will keep them at a temperature as low as 4 degrees Celsius. You’ll be able to enjoy a chilled fresh pint at any time.
Detail
According to Baradi thermoelectric technology helps keep the kegs cool. The LED display indicates what temperature your dispenser is set to. This means you can set your DH-49 to your perfect temperature.
Unlike other dispensers in its size range the Baradi DH-49 uses CO2 canisters. As a result the user can customise the bubbles in their pint using the adjustable setting. It uses standard 16g CO2 canisters too, so replacements are easy to find. For those who read this concerned about mess, the drip tray is removable, so you can clean it thoroughly.
Baradi claim their universal 5L keg adapter will fit any 5L keg. Please note that this is not Philips Draughtmaster kegs. That opens a world of different beers to try in your system at home. With the average 5L keg costing around £25 that comes in at around £2.84 per pint. The relatively cheap cost per pint so you will see a return on a visit to the pub in under 200 pints.
Should you buy it?
You can get the Baradi DH-49 for around £150 and it’s currently available for Prime delivery if you order through Amazon. It doesn’t come with any kegs so you’ll need to add some to your purchase.
You’ll definitely need some additional CO2 canisters. Even on minimum setting you’ll need more than one per keg. These aren’t particularly pricey, you can get 10 for £8 but it is something you have to factor in. Please remember these need to be non-threaded canisters in order to fit.
Overall this is a pretty decent entry into the market. So if you like your beer just so then this could be the entry into the market for you. Click on the images below for more details.
